Job Summary
Under indirect supervision, the Maintenance Technician supports and maintains manufacturing and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role involves working closely with technical leadership and cross-functional teams to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Job Description
Perform and document daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance on manufacturing and support equipment in accordance with Quality System SOPs and work instructions.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment failures to minimize downtime; coordinate with external vendors when necessary.
Apply training from OEM and external sources to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment effectively.
Plan, schedule, and manage maintenance-related projects from initiation through completion upon approval.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and components to support uninterrupted operations.
Prepare, execute, and document equipment and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
Assist with calibration of production equipment, including systems involving time, temperature, and pressure controls.
Meet or exceed departmental goals and performance objectives.
Ensure adherence to all SOPs; document and report process deviations.
Follow all safety policies and procedures and promote a safe working environment.
Apply Quality System requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
Support team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and execute process improvement plans through completion.
Shift: 6AM - 4:30PM M - F
Skills Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC-controlled equipment
Prior experience in equipment diagnostics and repair preferred
Previous completion of Maintenance Technician II-level responsibilities or equivalent experience
Manufacturing maintenance experience is required
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Ability to make sound technical decisions with limited supervision
Effective record-keeping and organizational skills
Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard software tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to train and mentor junior technicians (Level I & II)
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Willingness to attend external training as needed
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience preferred
Pay Rate
$25 - $28 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
