We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead skilled trades and technical teams in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production goals, and driving continuous improvement across welding and assembly operations.
You will provide technical leadership to maintenance technicians, controls specialists, weld technicians, planners, and toolmakers while supporting plant performance, equipment uptime, and product quality.
Lead and support maintenance teams during the shift, including technicians, controls specialists, weld technicians, planners, and toolmakers
Ensure equipment reliability and production uptime across automated welding and assembly operations
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for equipment downtime and quality issues
Monitor and improve key maintenance metrics such as MTTR and MTBF
Support APQP activities related to weld cells, tooling, and new product launches
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase equipment availability and throughput
Support preventative maintenance planning and CMMS activities
Develop and deliver training for skilled trades on robotic and manual welding processes and troubleshooting
Ensure required materials and resources are available for maintenance work
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
5–7+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing (welding and/or assembly environments)
Strong knowledge of automotive welding processes, including:
Resistance Spot Welding (RSW)
GMAW / MIG welding
Projection welding
Experience with welding and robotic systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Bosch, Fronius, Lincoln, or similar platforms
Experience with robotic welding programming (Fanuc experience is an asset)
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience with preventive maintenance planning and CMMS systems (EMaint or similar)
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, blueprint reading, GD&T, and measurement tools
Knowledge of AWS and RWMA standards
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
