Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Maintenance Supervisorfor our manufacturing client to start immediatelyat $85k-$110k/annually DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our clientupon hire!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure equipment reliability by applying effective maintenance strategies, including cost-efficient preventive, predictive, and lubrication programs.
- Prioritize and complete maintenance activities promptly to support production goals while identifying and implementing quality improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate, plan, and oversee the timely execution of maintenance work orders.
- Evaluate job requests to establish priorities and ensure efficient completion of daily tasks, shutdown work, and maintenance projects.
- Direct and organize maintenance department operations, including repairs, upgrades, and routine upkeep of converting and corrugated equipment.
- Perform and supervise general facility maintenance, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and structural repairs.
- Replace worn or defective components such as belts, rollers, motors, and sensors to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance work, including repairs, part replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for hourly maintenance team members within a high-performance environment.
- Ensure employees are properly trained to troubleshoot, perform mechanical repairs, operate equipment, and handle complex or unique situations.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and offer guidance on proper operation and maintenance.
- Communicate promptly with the Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager regarding any issues that could impact plant operations.
**Location: **University Park, IL
Schedule/Shift Details: 2nd Shift, 2:30PM-11PM, Monday-Friday
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
- Demonstrated experience maintaining industrial machinery, ideally within manufacturing
- Electrical knowledge, including PLC reading and diagnostics
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and adherence to established guidelines
- Comprehensive understanding of maintenance principles and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a union environment
- Knowledge of packaging design principles and industry standards
- Familiarity with corrugator systems and components
- Strong understanding of machine operations, including corrugating, heating, gluing, and cutting processes
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals and technical blueprints
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in the corrugated industry is highly preferred
- Positive, professional, and approachable demeanor
- Extensive knowledge of board types, specifications, and packaging applications
