Maintenance Supervisor

Essential Functions:

 This position is responsible for: 

• Mechanic leadership/ development
• Lead Parts room personnel and ensure parts room procedures are followed
• Remove daily Production obstacles
• Identify root cause analysis of failures, using a fix it forever mentality
• Work with Production to develop and support startup/shutdown procedures
• Work with Production to define CIP tasks and align with PM tasks
• Enforce work order process with Maintenance personnel
• May be able to lead smaller CAPEX projects, this is lesser
• Host contractors for routine repairs, specifically on production equipment
• Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Mid Valley Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.

• Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting safe behavior.
• Effectively delegates work orders to the appropriate maintenance technician(s) to ensure thorough and timely completion.
• Monitors maintenance team members’ schedules to cover plant operating requirements.
• Assists with technical training of all maintenance team members.
• Ensure planned maintenance as developed by CMMS is being conducted in a complete and satisfactory manner.
• Assist maintenance parts department in establishing min/max levels of needed parts for processing, packaging, case handling, and blow mold departments.
• Complete needed reports related to machine and team member performance.
• Enforce all safety rules and inspect facility to validate machine safety including but not limited to lock out tag out, confined space, and PSM/anhydrous ammonia.
• Adhere to all company policies including GMP’s, safe lifting, ability to understand the basics of safe food handling.
• Track/monitor the performance of the maintenance team as it pertains to scheduled (preventive) maintenance activities.

Position Requirements:

To be a successful Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will need:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills. § At least 5 years of maintenance experience in production environments. § Skilled in problem solving and time management. 
• Familiarity with dairy and/or beverage processing operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to adhere to and enforce health and safety regulation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
• Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics a plus.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurements.
• Able to sit, stand, kneel, lift, and climb ladders.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Can reliably work alone and as part of a team.
• Able to communicate well, verbally and on writing.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Friendly with good interpersonal skills. 
• Able to work weekends and/or Holidays.

Salary: $100,000-$110,000.00

Shift: Swing Shift
