| Main Purpose of the Position: |
| Provide both supervision and technical leadership to the Maintenance staff to meet productivity and quality targets. |
| Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following): |
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical components of industrial equipment.
- Working as a team member or alone to complete projects.
- Observing safety procedures and meeting operating.
- Making decisions based on technical documents.
- Performing quality testing and inspections.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by safely performing maintenance tasks to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all facility equipment.
- Inspects equipment for defects.
- Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, and shafts, involving the application of press, and running fits.
- Makes either temporary or permanent changes
Supervisory Level Responsibilities - Providing day‑to‑day supervision and technical oversight of plant mechanics, including assigning work, setting priorities, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance activities
- Enforcing company policies, safety procedures, and compliance standards while serving as a role model for safe and ethical conduct
- Supporting training, mentoring, and performance development of mechanics to improve skills, productivity, and operational effectiveness
- Identifying equipment reliability issues, coordinating corrective actions, and communicating maintenance needs and progress to management

| Skills/Qualifications |
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mine experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
