Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts to ensure full coverage and operational readiness
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all production machinery, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and lead troubleshooting efforts to restore production with minimal downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories using a computerized maintenance management system
  • Collaborate closely with production managers and quality assurance teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and food safety requirements
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, GMP standards, and all applicable food safety and environmental guidelines
  • Manage maintenance department budgets, including tracking labor costs, spare parts inventory, and contractor expenses
  • Coordinate and oversee the work of outside contractors and vendors for specialized repair and installation projects
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safe work practices throughout the maintenance team
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, equipment upgrades, and energy efficiency enhancements across the facility

Must-Have Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • At least two years of supervisory or team lead experience managing maintenance personnel
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and basic automation troubleshooting is strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and GMP compliance requirements
  • Experience working with CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies and provide on-call support as needed
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or technical degree in a related field is preferred
