As a Maintenance Supervisor at Ryerson, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, ensuring facilities and equipment are operational, safe, and well maintained.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supervising and training staff and ensuring training is effectively carried out and oversee completion of training checklists.
Planning and coordinating maintenance projects.
Preventative and corrective maintenance using CMMS, i.e. RyMaint.
Safety and compliance
Administrative tasks such as tracking inventory and supplies and liaising with contractors and vendors for specialized work.
Problem solving and troubleshooting. Diagnosing technical issues and providing practical solutions for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or structural problems.
Review plant supply inventory and advise purchasing when levels are low
Communicates with other departments within the facility, as well as other locations
Follow and enforce CBA and Memorandum of Agreement

Requirements
High School Diploma / GED is required; College Education preferred
One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience preferred
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
The successful candidate is expected to develop proficiency in SAP as part of their role. Prior experience is not required, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and become proficient in SAP is essential
Salary: $64,855.53 - $97,283.29 A starting salary higher than $64,855.53 is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
