This role provides leadership and direction to the Maintenance department and its staff members.

Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, develop and conduct evaluations of the Maintenance department
Supervise maintenance related functions:
PM program/ schedule that ensures machine robustness along with the coordination of production schedule needs
Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime
Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems
Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime
Maintain maintenance related records
To co-ordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs and to source the most effective repairs and upgrades cost
Provide input and ensure completion of CI projects
Able to stand in for Maintenance Manager in absence
Ensure proper planning and control for all areas of responsibility in Maintenance department (e.g. labor, overtime, equipment, travel, etc).
Maintains clear written records
Creates and ensures a safe and secure work environment
Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the Maintenance Manager
Contribute to ongoing improvements to throughput, inventory and operational expense.
