We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations within a highly automated manufacturing and distribution environment. This individual will be responsible for supervising daily maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, driving preventive maintenance initiatives, and fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee technicians and sanitation personnel, coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance schedules, support employee development, and help ensure efficient facility operations through the use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the daily activities of maintenance and sanitation teams.
  • Ensure all equipment is operated, maintained, and repaired according to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
  • Develop, schedule, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for automated equipment, conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems, fire protection systems, doors, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Minimize operational downtime by effectively planning maintenance activities and responding to equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor departmental performance against established KPIs, budgets, and operational goals.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility through effective leadership of sanitation efforts.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and contractors to support equipment servicing and technician training.
  • Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development opportunities for maintenance team members.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and reporting within the CMMS.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reliability, and overall equipment performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or automated facility environment.
  • Previous leadership experience, including team lead, supervisor, or management responsibilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with automated equipment and material handling systems.
  • Experience maintaining conveyors, cranes, palletizing systems, robotics, or other automated machinery.

Required Skills

  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS software for maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred but not required.
  • Relevant maintenance, electrical, or industrial certifications are a plus.
