Maintenance Supervisor I

The primary duty of the Maintenance Supervisor I is to ensure efficient and effective department operations as well as ensure the highest physical quality of the property. The Maintenance Supervisor I will coordinate work schedules and monitor daily staff performance; maintain oversight of expense controls and risk management; and manage repairs as well as preventative maintenance in vacant apartments, resident apartments and common areas. The Maintenance Supervisor I ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as all established policies. HVAC experience,EPA Certification and Valid Driver's License required.

The work is performed in a variety of environments under the overall direction of the Capital Maintenance Officer. The Maintenance Supervisor I will oversee two multifamily apartment locations. This is a full-time, on-call, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm benefits-eligible position in Clearwater, Florida.

Required Experience & Competencies:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in various trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, appliances and electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of safety, fire prevention and first aid techniques.
  • Measurement and mathematical calculation ability.
  • Ability to work in a variety of conditions and locations including confined areas, rooftops, underground spaces, etc.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
  • HVAC experience.
  • EPA certification.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
