Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless coordination of maintenance work orders and maximizing the efficiency of a 5-10-member maintenanceteam dedicated to enhancing plant processes, equipment functionality, and overall facility maintenance. Embracing a "One Team, One Mission" philosophy, this role involves extensive collaboration across shifts and departments, including Production, Utilities, Planning, and Safety, to ensure consistent yields, minimize downtime, and enforce compliance with HACCP, USDA, and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Maintenance Techs and apprentices, overseeing the execution of work orders, planned repairs/projects, and preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Administer scheduling, time, and attendance, and provide performance feedback to ensure optimal job performance.
  • Coordinate and troubleshoot major maintenance projects in collaboration with the Maintenance team, plant engineers, and Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Ensure a swift and effective response to line breakdowns, minimizing disruptions to production.
Required Qualifications:
  • Preference for food experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in an Industrial Mechanics/related position OR possess an Industrial Mechanics degree/equivalent technical diploma with at least 1 year of plant maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of one year in a leadership and/or project management role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach, and the ability to maintain composure and make decisions in stressful situations.
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge, including USDA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety (SQF).
  • Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
