The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of building, equipment, and property maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. This role supports routine preventive maintenance, equipment maintenance (forklift), emergency repairs, small-scale construction projects, and seasonal tasks such as landscaping and snow removal. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Perform general building maintenance tasks as required
• Perform forklift maintenance
• Design and construct necessary components for building remodels and projects
• Perform preventative maintenance on properties, building, and related equipment.
• Maintain vendor information – for bid requests; emergency contacts.
• Perform snow removal during the winter season
• Perform general landscaping and lawn care as necessary
• Maintain inventory of essential supplies and location specific products for job efficiency
• Respond to emergency maintenance and troubleshooting requests
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong Technical Training in Building Trades (i.e. Carpentry, electrical, etc)
• Building Engineering experience, a plus
• Computer skills for email communications and additional basic skills to perform job
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet hiring/retention criteria
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
• Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment
• May require outside work in extreme weather conditions
• Must have good communications skills
• Must be able to manage a project
• Able to travel to other locations if necessary
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
• Heavy physical work – regularly required to walk, move heavy objects using pallet jacks or
dolleys, climbing, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and more than
50lbs
• Must be comfortable working in various climates
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Accurately plan and oversee budgets, capital expenses and projects.
• Implement and follow through on maintenance programs
