Maintenance Supervisor

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all maintenance tasks as needed, according to skills/abilities and consistent with regulations and facility policy.
- Monitor operation and condition of equipment and systems are monitored routinely, and preventive/corrective maintenance is done in a timely manner to minimize disruption to a safe, comfortable environment.
- Assist in monitoring operation of general systems such as heating/cooling; report problems or malfunctions immediately.
- Assist housekeeping staff with heavy floor care (strip/wax/buff) and other heavy cleaning, trash collection, and/or removal.
- Assure appropriate tools, equipment, materials, and supplies are available for performance of maintenance duties; establish and maintain inventory and records of purchase.
- Maintain outside walkways in a safe condition for use, i.e., assure prompt snow/ice removal.
- Maintain lawn and landscaping.
- Assure facility or equipment modifications, preventive maintenance, or repairs are done in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, regulations, and laws.
- Follow material safety data sheets (MSDS).
- Follow waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Assist in inspections, fire and disaster drills, and training; report outcome according to established procedure.
- Use equipment, tools, supplies, and chemicals according to instructions, observing safety precautions and protective measures.
Qualifications:
- Someone who enjoys hands-on work and experience.
- Interest in creating and maintaining a home-like atmosphere.
- Provide general upkeep and implement a preventative maintenance program.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment for basic repair work.
- Passion for providing excellent customer service to our residents.
