Core Responsibilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts to ensure continuous operational coverage
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs for all production equipment, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures to minimize production downtime
  • Coordinate with production managers to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting daily output targets
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work order documentation, and equipment service records using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Manage spare parts inventory, procurement of maintenance supplies, and vendor relationships to control costs effectively
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA safety regulations, FDA guidelines, and internal sanitation standards relevant to food production environments
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations following equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for maintenance team members
  • Manage maintenance department budget, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety

Must-Have Requirements
  • Minimum five years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing, food production, or industrial facility environment
  • At least two years of supervisory or team lead experience managing maintenance technicians
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, mechanical drives, conveyor systems, and pneumatic equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management software platforms
  • Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and food safety regulations including GMP compliance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, production, and management teams
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field is strongly preferred
  • Must be available for on-call response to critical equipment emergencies outside standard business hours
