Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team and ensures that equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role is responsible for planning maintenance activities, supervising technicians, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor maintenance budgets, inventory, and spare parts usage.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and work orders.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff performance.
• Coordinate with production, operations, and management teams to minimize downtime.
• Support installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintenance operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software (CMMS) is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
