The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance operations with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and performance. This role builds trust-based relationships with employees, peers, and leadership while motivating, training, and developing skilled craft teams. The supervisor serves as a technical resource and clear communicator while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance execution.
Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and address unsafe behaviors immediately
Lead and support major and minor maintenance and engineering projects
Plan and coordinate down days and downtime activities
Serve as backup to the Maintenance Leader
Train, lead, and direct skilled craft employees
Order parts and services using SAP
Partner with Operations to analyze downtime causes and implement improvements
Provide technical support across departments
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs using reliability data and equipment history
Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and recordkeeping standards
Maintain plant assets in a safe and cost-effective manner
Develop and enforce standard work processes and company procedures
Oversee timecard tracking and submission accuracy
Drive TPM initiatives and implementation plans
Hold team members accountable for TPM execution and improvements
Perform other related duties as assigned
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Own Autonomous Maintenance activities (cleaning, inspection, lubrication standards)
Support troubleshooting using root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, cause mapping)
Lead focused improvement initiatives to eliminate losses and improve performance
Support training and development of operators and maintenance personnel
Drive safety, health, and environmental improvements toward a zero-injury culture
Education & Experience
Secondary education in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance or industrial environment
Experience training others in multi-craft technical skills
Familiarity with planned maintenance systems (e.g., SAP, RWP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Must be available for weekend and after-hours support as needed
