Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and support a team of maintenance technicians in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Develop weekly staffing schedules, manage timekeeping and payroll approvals, and ensure appropriate shift coverage
  • Coordinate maintenance priorities with production leadership to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency
  • Oversee work order management, preventive maintenance planning, and resource allocation through CMMS systems
  • Spend significant time on the production floor supporting technicians, addressing issues, and ensuring work is completed safely and effectively
  • Drive accountability, employee engagement, performance management, and team development initiatives
  • Conduct coaching, training, performance reviews, and employee relations discussions as needed
  • Manage maintenance labor utilization, overtime, contractor coordination, and departmental administrative responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and continuous improvement efforts through planning and coordination

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience leading, supervising, or coordinating maintenance personnel
  • Strong scheduling, workforce planning, and team management skills
  • Experience managing payroll, attendance tracking, overtime, and employee performance processes
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work, coordinate resources, and communicate across multiple departments
  • Experience utilizing CMMS software for maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Strong leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and employee development abilities
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance principles sufficient to support troubleshooting efforts and guide technicians
  • Food, beverage, dairy, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred
