Maintenance Supervisor


RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities
  • Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate
  • Provide key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals
  • Provide direction and leadership consistent with plant business plan goals
  • Responsible for maintenance department safety, quality, production and delivery objectives in his/her area of responsibility
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to support production jobs
  • Responsible for managing the preventive maintenance schedules
  • Responsible for ensuring accountability and discipline
  • Responsible for maintaining maximum levels of press utilization and efficiency
  • Drive shift manning levels and utilization to assure compliance to budget
  • Provide leadership and promote positive moral and ensure a total team concept
  • Provide the proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mind set for the team
  • Coordinate and assess required training and team building
  • Coordinate and assist in new colleague orientation
  • Complete individual work team performance reviews for probationary associates
  • Track, monitor and implement required improvement activities related to business plan goals and issues
  • Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals
  • Provide colleagues with the necessary training to be successful in their roles
  • Communicate and prioritize daily work assignments to the team
  • Assure work orders are completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Communicate the overtime schedule to the work team
  • Communicate key information to the organization through the daily “shift to shift” communication plan
  • Participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities (ex. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.)
  • Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized and verify individual usage of personal protection equipment (PPE) by the work team
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Associate Handbook, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of four (4) years as a maintenance technician required
  • Minimum of one (1) years as a maintenance supervisor preferred
  •          Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced environment
  •  

·       This full-time, salary role is a part of our Maintenance team and reports to the Maintenance Manager.
