Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Reidsville, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys leading technicians, improving equipment reliability, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a solid industrial maintenance background, and the flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Support the installation, startup, and implementation of new equipment, production lines, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding systems.
  • Partner with Engineering and Production teams to improve equipment performance, productivity, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Review and approve maintenance documentation, equipment specifications, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, vacation coverage, and weekend support while minimizing overtime and maintaining departmental efficiency.
  • Manage maintenance spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available while controlling costs.
  • Interview, train, coach, and develop maintenance personnel while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by conducting safety inspections, enforcing company policies, and leading safety and food safety training initiatives.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, including utilities, waste treatment systems, building maintenance, and grounds.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide maintenance leadership during emergency situations as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading industrial maintenance technicians.
    Strong knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding systems.
  • Experience with industrial equipment installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Familiarity with facility systems, including chillers, pumps, lighting, and utility equipment.
  • Comfortable working a 3rd shift schedule and participating in weekend and on-call coverage when required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
