Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance department, production lines, and facility systems to support safe, efficient operations. You will schedule work and personnel to meet production demands, maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and help achieve plant safety, reliability, and uptime goals while managing maintenance expenses.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule maintenance team activities to meet production needs and control labor costs
  • Monitor downtime events and implement corrective actions to maintain operations
  • Track production line performance and identify mechanical or maintenance trends
  • Train, motivate, and direct team members to follow food safety, safety standards, and operational goals
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with regulatory officials, including USDA representatives
  • Manage purchasing of maintenance supplies and repair parts with a focus on quality and cost control
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained to support a safe work environment
  • Enforce plant safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and standards
  • Maintain equipment for efficient operation while operating within budget and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement of maintenance team performance and production line efficiency
  • Own predictive and preventive maintenance programs, including oil analysis, vibration analysis, compressor analysis, and infrared thermography
  • Evaluate maintenance strategies and frequencies to optimize resources and maximize equipment reliability

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field preferred
  • 5 or more years of maintenance and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience managing budgets, labor, and maintenance-related expenses
  • Understanding of regulatory and safety compliance requirements in manufacturing environments
  • Experience with CMMS systems; SAP Plant Maintenance preferred

This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation 

Annual Base Salary: $81,000.00 - $100,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
