EMPLOYMENT TERMS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This is a shared position between the Community Recreation Department and the Facilities Services Department.
Recreation Maintenance Specialist in the Community Recreation Department:
This part of the position will work for seven months - April 1 through October 31. April 1 through May 31 days of work will be Tuesday through Saturday. The June 1 through October 31 days of work will be Monday through Friday. All hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Under the direction of the Community Recreation Department Director and the leadership of the Recreation Department Foreman, this position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive recreation maintenance program including an athletic turf maintenance program that involves the supervision of seasonal staff for that program.
Facilities Services Maintenance Specialist in Facilities Services:
This part of the position will be worked for five months - November 1 through March 31. The days worked will be Tuesday through Saturday and the hours will be 3:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Maintenance, this position performs preventive and corrective maintenance to the buildings, grounds, and mechanical equipment of the district. May also participate in remodeling or renovation projects and the installation of new equipment. Substitute custodial duties may be assigned as needed.
