Position Title:Maintenance Specialist LeadDepartment:Facilities EngineeringJob Description:General Description: Under general direction, handles day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Specialist team and performs a variety of multi-craft functions in and around the hospital complex. Coordinates work order schedulingEnsures that work schedules are covered which may include filling in for a team member who is off workAssists with oversight to ensure that work is completed correctly and in a timely mannerMaintains the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems data baseCompletes and submits supply/material orders for the maintenance teamCoordinates required training activitiesConducts service quality surveysDevelops, recommends and implements new ways to improve customer service General Responsibilities:Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Education: NoneExperience: At least four (4) years relevant experience in building maintenance to include at least one (1) year in a Lead or Supervisory position OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiar with regulatory requirements pertinent to health care facilities. Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, Pneumatic Tube Systems, medical gases, electrical power and alarm systems. Must display a strong professional appearance at all times representing the maintenance team in a positive and service oriented manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of computer operations and systems. Good customer service skills.
