Title: Maintenance Sanitation Technician

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:This position involves cleaning and sanitizing the Fan Coil Units and designated areas within the production department, in accordance with the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Additionally, the role requires ensuring that the sanitation Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is completed on time, following the required Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). Employees may be required to disassemble and reassemble equipment, and it is essential that they work safely while using chemicals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION:- Must be able to operate a boom lift, scissors lift, one-man lift, and forklift.
- Must be able to disassemble and thoroughly clean fan coil units (FCUs).
- Must be capable of cleaning overhead piping, ceilings, racks, and light fixtures.
- Must be able to operate a high-pressure washer for equipment cleaning.
- Must be able to handle and work with chemicals. - Must be able to repeatedly climb, push, and pull extensively throughout the shift.
- Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment, which requires extensive lifting.
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.
- Employees must adhere to all policies, practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF).
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
- EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required, with a preference for food processing experience.
- SKILLS:Candidates must be able to climb, push, and pull repeatedly throughout the shift in a fast-paced production setting. The ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision is essential.
- ADDITIONAL:Candidates should possess a dynamic, hands-on approach to working in a very fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Strong decision-making skills, regular and acceptable attendance, the ability to follow directions, and effective interpersonal skills are also required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is conducted in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia are present in the area. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Employees must be able to lift 40 pounds unassisted for up to one-third of the workday, and 6 pounds overhead as job demands dictate. Constant standing on a concrete floor, along with reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements, may be required. WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires the ability to work overtime, and some weekend work may be necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
