Position Summary:
The Maintenance Planning Coordinator is responsible for scheduling aircraft maintenance, manages maintenance workloads and maintains the integrity of scheduled maintenance activities within the requirements of the maintenance program from the present through twelve (12) days in the future.
Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 / year
Job Functions:
- Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
- Analyzes and accurately interprets detailed aircraft maintenance due reports for each aircraft. Acts as the final authority for deferring individual maintenance tasks or entire aircraft maintenance visits to a maintenance facility.
- Provides direction when coworkers, maintenance supervisors or station/departmental managers seek to defer scheduled maintenance items in order to maximize a maintenance opportunity.
- Stationed in the Systems Operations Center (SOC), remains keenly aware of daily aircraft performance. Acting with moderate direct supervision, requires timely, accurate analysis and the creation of realistic solutions to inquiries from SOC personnel tasked to achieve daily performance objectives.
- Provides oversight and manages all scheduled maintenance events; ensures continuous compliance of all manufacturer and regulatory requirements. Requires constant diligence in order to balance ever changing labor allowances, parts and tooling availability with maintenance program deadlines.
Required Competencies:
- High level of judgment to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and procedures.
- High level of initiative to effectively serve the needs of primary customers, i.e., Maintenance Production Personnel and Dispatch Coordinators.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
Education & Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' experience in planning and production control
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Proficiency with PC applications and MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook and OneNote)
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Aviation Management/Maintenance or Applied Engineering Technology
- Good working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs
- Proficiency with AS 400 software applications

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel:
- Maintenance Operation Group seated within the SOC
- Majority of time spent at medium activity level, i.e., sitting, walking, moving
- 10-hour shifts (AM 0400-1400, PM 1300-2300) to include holidays and weekends; adjustment may be needed depending on flight schedules
