Maintenance Person

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Person/ Porter to join our team.

This is a dual role. Reporting to the Service Manager, he/she is responsible for repairing or reporting any minor problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen and for performing a wide range of tasks around the facility. In addition, he/she is responsible for keeping the shop clean and organized.  

The ideal candidate has a high energy level, a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and a valid and clean NY driver’s license. Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and license/motor vehicle record check. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the shop, keeping it clean and free of debris
• Completes janitorial responsibilities as assigned (Use  machinery to clean the shop floor) 
• Performs minor routine maintenance around the building  (changing light bulbs, emptying oil drums)
• Applies preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
• Reports potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
• Must have a valid and clean NY state driver’s license
• Must be reliable and able to follow directions
• Must have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on time
• Must demonstrate good judgment to make sound decisions about efficiency and safety
• Highly organized
• Capable of working independently
• Strong multitasking skills
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and professional appearance
• Able to work in non-climate controlled environments

Schedule 5 Day Work Week - 7:30 am - 5 pm (4 days Mon-Fri and 1 Saturday)

Looking for a candidate who can work 4 Weekdays and  Saturday
