Job Opportunity: Maintenance Operator
Join CPC - Performance Pipe in the Polymers & Specialties division as a Maintenance Operator located in Startex within the Commercial business unit. This critical role involves direct responsibility for the upkeep and effective functioning of production equipment vital to our operations.
As a Maintenance Operator, you will play an essential role in ensuring operational continuity through meticulous maintenance and repair tasks, fostering a safe and efficient environment that aligns with our commitment to quality and sustainability. This position offers a dynamic work setting where technical expertise meets proactive problem-solving and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures that Maintenance plans and Spare Parts Strategies are managed, determined and implemented • Identifies risks associated with any assigned work prior to execution • Identifies improvement opportunities and basic defect elimination in the day to day execution of work • Produces and shares the weekly KPI reports and other information as required • Performs weekly work order updates with supervision to maintain an active back log of jobs • Utilizes measuring instruments and diagnoses and makes to general repairs to production equipment • Manages the district files & record management retention systems, time sheets, and filing requirements as necessary and required by the different operating and support groups for assigned facilities • Inspects parts, replacements, alignment, balancing, installation and refurbishment on a wide variety of equipment • Liaises with the Engineering Department to ensure engineering resources provide appropriate support for on-going maintenance activities and vice versa • Assists with new installations and other projects, as requested by supervisor
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver's license • The ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams and blue prints • Have an overall positive attitude and the ability to work efficiently while adhering to plant safety requirements
