The successful candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical background. Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair of industrial packaging equipment and facilities support equipment, with a high priority on maintenance and safety. Work includes daily job assignments, prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, facility check sheets, machine manuals, sketches, preventive maintenance sheets and instructions.
Job Duties:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Tear down equipment; rebuild and replace defective parts and component units such as motors, gearboxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical units; reassemble and make final equipment adjustments.
Work with all levels of personnel individually or in a team environment.
Provide a set of basic mechanic’s hand tools to function.
Work overtime and weekends when required.
Lift up to 55 pounds, maintain good visual accuracy, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Remain on feet for long periods of time (80–90% of shift), walking and answering calls.
Qualifications:
Three (3) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
Working knowledge of AC 480–120V and DC 180–low voltage controls.
Good troubleshooting skills in electricity and mechanical (pneumatic, gearboxes, hydraulic and cam type).
Self-starter who works well under fast-paced conditions.
