Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Dining Services, this position is responsible for providing a wide variety of semi-skilled maintenance tasks in all dining locations in concessions, catering, retail, and residential dining. Duties include but are not limited to plumbing electrical, carpentry, painting, preventive maintenance projects and other general maintenance projects as assigned. The position will also work closely with Maintenance Mechanics.



Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Dining Services, this position is responsible for providing a wide variety of skilled maintenance tasks, such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, door repairs, commercial kitchen equipment, golf carts repair, welding, wall repair, preventative maintenance and painting in a commercial facility. Work effectively as a team member by using positive communication techniques, bringing talent to the team, and supporting teammates by fulfilling responsibilities, helping teammates when called upon, and contributing to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of five years building/maintenance mechanic experience in a broad range of skilled maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Ability to do basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to make electrical and plumbing installations and repairs.
  • Demonstrated ability in repairing building finishes, furniture and small equipment
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to operate a variety of power hand tools, and stationary power tools, such as bench grinders, drill presses, and table saws
  • Ability to summarize in writing work performed.
  • Ability to work well with staff and the general public.
  • Ability to supervise the work others.
  • Must be available for on-call assignments or alternate work schedule.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and after hours.
  • 3-5 yearsBuilding Maintenance Mechanic in broad range of skilled maintenance tasks.


Preferred:

  • Ability to arc and wire feed weld

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $46.24- $46.24 (Hourly).
