Title: Forklift Mechanic Location: Northampton MA USA 01060 Duration: 09 months (Possible extension) Pay rate: $25- $30/hr. (Based on experience) Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm Description: A Forklift Mechanic need to support Forklift maintenance at the Northampton, MA plant. Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3:30pm Job Description is below and also attached. ** Forklift Mechanic** Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities • Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electric and internal combustion (IC) forklifts. • Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment including electric and LP forklifts, pallet jacks, and aerial lifts • Ensure operational safety and minimal downtime of Lifts • Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, engines, transmissions, braking systems, and mast assemblies. • Repair or replace broken parts, including motors, pumps, valves, and cylinders. • Inspection, maintenance and minor repairs of PIT batteries and battery changing equipment • Conduct safety inspections and testing on equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and work orders using computer systems. • Order and manage service inventory. Qualification and Additional Requirements • High School Diploma, General Education. • Related Trade/Technical Degree or equivalent work experience • Minimum 3 years' experience as a forklift technician or similar heavy equipment mechanic role. • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
