Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team!

The Maintenance Mechanic II performs repairs and maintenance on AWH buildings, equipment and compounds. Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled jobs including regular and preventative maintenance and emergency disaster and recover services / repair. Mechanic II will perform maintenance for assigned Aspirus facilities throughout all Aspirus regions in Wisconsin.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mechanical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • State approved apprenticed Millwright or Machinery Repairman or equivalent work life experience.
  • Completion of designated course or equivalent at Northcentral Technical College.
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
  • Five years'' experience in building and equipment maintenance or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.   • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.

Hours:Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day shift, every 6th weekend on-call along with one day a week on-call.
