What We Are Looking For
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of passenger vehicles and heavy equipment
What You Will Do
- Ø Diagnoses and repairs vehicles, heavy equipment and other company property.
- Ø Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Ø Assists with semi-complex engine overhauls.
- Ø Reads manuals, charts, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ø Completes and maintains accurate paperwork and records necessary to insure parts and time are allocated to the correct equipment.
- Ø Works in other areas as needed.
- Ø Maintains proper housekeeping in and around the shop area.
- Ø Training and/or demonstrated experience in heavy equipment/diesel repair.
- Ø Valid driver's license
- Ø Understanding of both OSHA and EPA standards as they relate to the position and performance of the job.
- Ø Ability to read manuals, charts, schematics, and blueprints.
- Ø Owns tools and maintains them in safe working condition.
- Ø Ability to follow written and oral instructions and/or directions
- Ø Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds - (High Physical Demand Level per DOL
- Ø Must meet and maintain certification for use of respiratory protective equipment as required by OSHA 1910.134
- Ø Demonstrated aptitude to execute customer orders and maintain necessary records
- Ø Must have the ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work

- Ø Requires work in all types of weather conditions
- Ø Must be available to work all shifts and weekends including 12 hours shiftsMust be available for assignments at other Charleston, SC locations located within a 20 mile radius
- Ø Must be able to secure and maintain Transpertation Worker Identification Credential (TWICS)
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds - (High Physical Demand Level per DOL)
- Must meet and maintain certification for use of respiratory protective equipment as required by OSHA 1910.134
- Demonstrated aptitude to execute customer orders and maintain necessary records
- Must have the ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
