Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift, 2:00pm – 10:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Base Salary: $28 - $29 per hour (based on experience)

About the Opportunity: For more than 25 years, Sterling Engineering's architectural lighting client have been a leader in delivering human-centric technology and high-efficiency luminaires. They are currently looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician.
Job Duties:
- Assess machinery and fabrication equipment to accurately diagnose and repair issues, ensuring peak efficiency and safety.
- Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and machinery, specifically fabrication equipment.
- Perform routine inspections to identify equipment malfunctions and diagnose machine failures immediately.
- Follow industry best practices, SOPs, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with established safety guidelines.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing all production machinery.
- Log all performed maintenance work accurately through paper documentation or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Train equipment operators on proper preventive maintenance techniques and safe machine operation.
- Perform general maintenance work on buildings and facility equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Coordinate with the Environmental and Facilities team to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate; completion of a certificate program or vocational training is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of previous experience in a maintenance mechanic position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical production systems and facility equipment.
- Outstanding troubleshooting, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under general supervision.
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including Physical, Audiometric, and Respiratory exams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with operators and management.
