Job Description

Our company is seeking an experience Maintenance Manager responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility to ensure maximum equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. This position requires extensive experience in machining operations and manufacturing equipment, along with strong leadership skills to manage maintenance personnel, preventive maintenance programs, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
  • Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, and maintenance standards.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.


Equipment Reliability & Preventive Maintenance

  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
  • Monitor machine performance and maintenance KPIs, including downtime, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and maintenance costs.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment breakdowns.


Machining Equipment Support

  • Provide technical expertise for CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, machining centers, and associated manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues affecting machining operations.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machining processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Support machine installations, upgrades, and equipment commissioning activities.


Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance processes.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement equipment modifications to improve productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Participate in capital expenditure planning and project management.


Budget & Inventory Management

  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.
  • Control maintenance expenditures while maintaining equipment reliability.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with external service providers and equipment suppliers.


Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the maintenance team.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with machining operations and CNC equipment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a precision machining, metal fabrication, or CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Reliability Maintenance.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.
  • Knowledge of robotics and automated manufacturing systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
