We are currently searching for a qualified and reliable maintenance manager to lead our maintenance department. As the maintenance manager, you will be responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities. Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures. This is a hands-on position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops programs, procedures, and practices to encourage employees to work safety in an environmentally responsible manner to achieve quality results at acceptable cost levels.
- Participates in safety, health, and environmental continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepares budgets and monitors expenses.
- Leads, directs, and delegates to maintenance staff various assignments based on their skill set and shift assignment. Follows up and assists as necessary.
- Assists in developing the skills of maintenance staff.
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees planned plant shutdown activities.
- Provides technical support for maintenance functions for central maintenance.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes strategic Capex projects.
- Provides advisory support to the plant-engineering group.
- Maintains plant engineering standards and compliance.
- Support and coordinate off shift maintenance staff.
- Drives the cultural changes necessary for the organization.
- Resolves personnel conflicts and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Develops systems and uses applicable tools to improve understanding of maintenance costs and utility measures relative to overall goals of reliability.
- Oversees the daily operation of the utilities systems for the site.
- Inspects and troubleshoots equipment as needed.
- Manages engineering stores functions to properly support plant needs, including maintenance material and contracting needs, process material needs, raw material purchasing, and physical inventory.
- Other projects/duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical maintenance, or related/applicable technical discipline, or equivalent. Related Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Minimum five years of work experience in maintenance in production environment, including substantial experience in some or all of the following areas: industrial maintenance and/or engineering, electrical, chemical, AC/DC, welding, boiler room or other maintenance functions; on-the-job training or certification in hydraulics, boiler room operations, welding and fork lift
- Minimum three years of maintenance supervisory experience in production environment
- Experience with establishing/managing budgets and financial reporting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Solid knowledge in most or all of the following: industrial maintenance, plant electrical systems, AC/DC, welding, pneumatics, plumbing, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to build and maintain strong team environment.
- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and policies/procedures. Ability to read, analyze and interpret applicable business periodicals, journals, technical manuals, and government regulations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels and types of internal and external individuals, including speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including computing rates, ratio, and percents; ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
