Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the daily operations of a maintenance department in a fast-paced production environment. This leadership role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, managing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating facility and equipment repairs, and ensuring all operations remain safe, efficient, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of mechanical and facility systems while minimizing production downtime.
Required Experience & Skills
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 5 years of maintenance management or supervisory experience in manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or a similar industrial environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs
Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills
Valid driver's license required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage and lead the daily operations of the maintenance department
Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs for facility and production equipment
Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Schedule maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency
Maintain maintenance records, equipment documentation, and parts inventory
Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, GAP, food safety, and company safety standards
Coordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs and facility improvement projects
Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians and support staff
Assist with facility upgrades, capital improvement projects, and equipment installations
Respond to emergency equipment failures, facility issues, and weather-related maintenance needs
Work closely with production and operations teams to support efficient manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food processing, agriculture, or industrial manufacturing environments
Strong background in preventive maintenance systems and CMMS software
Experience managing maintenance budgets and vendor relationships
Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and reaching throughout the workday
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must wear required PPE and follow all company safety procedures

Industrial production and manufacturing facility
Combination of office, production floor, and outdoor work environments
Fast-paced operation supporting production equipment and facility infrastructure
Position may require weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs based on business needs
