Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

American Wood Fibers (AWF) is a manufacturer of both consumer and industrial products that are sold to multiple manufacturers as well as pet, agricultural, and home-heating markets. AWF is comprised of 400+ employees and holds operations at 11 locations, generating over $100M in annual sales revenue. We are currently seeking a candidate for the Maintenance Manager role in our Marshall, TX facility.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of Maintenance Staff, including scheduling and team development
  • Maintaining and implementing preventive maintenance in work order program
  • Ensure that maintenance operations perform efficiently, safely and quality work
  • Provide leadership of personnel and insure good communication between Maintenance and operations
  • Insure coverage for manufacturing operation schedule, machine repair and project implementation
  • Management and procurement of spare parts.
  • Documentation of time & work performed in computer-based maintenance management program on a daily basis
  • Review & approval of maintenance team work orders for closure in computer-based maintenance management program.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Five (5) Plus Years of Supervisory Experience
  • Exceptional Leadership, Team Building, and Organizational Skills
  • Skilled with Mechanical and Electrical background. Certifications are a plus
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • PLC Programming and Troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Limited travel requirements (potentially to other AWF plants as needed)
  • Although this is a 1st shift position, must be willing to work flexible hours/days as required based on the maintenance needs of the plant
  • Previous experience with a computer-based maintenance management system (CMMS) preferred.
  • Previous experience with wheeled Loader, knuckle booms, skid steer & semi-trailer repair is a plus
