Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their team. Our client is seeking a strategic leader to ensure maximum efficiency of all mechanical, electrical, and facility operations. If you have a Bachelor's in Maintenance Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of maintenance management experience, deep knowledge of TPM, CMMS, and PLCs, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and capital projects, we invite you to apply.

This is a vital first-shift (6 AM - 2:30 PM CT) opportunity to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring all production equipment, electrical components, and the physical building operate with maximum efficiency.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all maintenance programs and plans strictly comply with USDA and FDA manufacturing requirements.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Prepare and manage the departmental budget, ensuring adequate systems, parts, and supplies are available to minimize downtime and optimize costs.
  • Strategic Program Development: Plan and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, energy cost reduction initiatives, and other continuous improvement projects.
  • Equipment & Process Enhancement: Research and evaluate equipment and materials for new or revised processes, packaging, or products to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Project Management: Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities involved in the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and utility systems. This includes managing outside vendors, contractors, and overseeing Capital Expense projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion and execute continuous improvement projects and conduct detailed cost analyses to enhance line efficiencies and overall operational performance.
  • Professional Development: Maintain a personal development plan and actively guide your team's participation in job-specific training to foster ongoing growth and expertise.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Science in Maintenance Engineering or a related major, combined with a minimum of 5 years of maintenance management/engineering experience, preferably within food manufacturing.
  • Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems.
    • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
    • Preventative maintenance programs.
    • High-speed packaging machinery.
    • Downtime analysis.
    • Process start-ups and breakdown management.
    • Budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, and project justification/development.
    • Vendor selection and supervision of outside workers..
    • Preferred Knowledge: Experience with refrigeration systems and operations in a USDA or FDA regulated environment.
  • Essential Skills:
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, PC proficiency, organizational, and team facilitation skills.
