Manage, maintain, and establish maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget.
Leads the maintenance department and supervises the department team members: performance management, pay administration, promoting career development, training and coordinating technical duties.
Develops and administers plant maintenance systems and philosophies, providing efficient and effective projects and maintenance services to the plant. Analyze production breakdown and use root cause analysis to ensure productivity improvement.
Responsible for troubleshooting machinery problems and continuously monitoring electrical and mechanical devices as part of a predictive and preventive maintenance plan.
Understands and demonstrates proactive maintenance concepts and employs best maintenance practices. Define and implement PM activities.
Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive.
Qualifications:
BS or BSE
10+ years' experience in plant maintenance department with 5 years in a maintenance management role in food manufacturing (cooking, filling and/or packing lines).
Experience in highly automated environment
Proven track-record in developing strategies to attain performance objectives along with organizational development wins.
Experience in CMMS systems; Microsoft Office.
Budget management / Project Management.
Contractors negotiating skills.
FDA/USDA regulation experience.
GMP, CIP, Root cause, 5-why, 5s, lean methodologies
Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical and PID drawings, specifications, charts, tables, formulas, measuring instruments, computer and computer software application.
