Maintenance Manager | East Lansing, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across East Lansing seeking Maintenance Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, including scheduling and performance reviews.
  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Forecast and manage the maintenance department budget, including spare parts inventory and external service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards within the maintenance department.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven expertise in implementing and managing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and predictive maintenance techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance professionals
  • OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training
