The Maintenance Manager is an exempt position responsible for overseeing and managing the entire maintenance function, including personnel, systems, procedures, and the condition of all machinery. This role ensures the facility operates efficiently through effective maintenance strategies.
Supervision:
Reports to: A senior manager or executive.
Supervises: Maintenance Personnel, managing their work assignments, timekeeping, and scheduling. This role also influences the work efforts of supervisors and individual contributors related to the maintenance process or function.

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. Five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong background and experience in preventative maintenance. Experience in inventory management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical documents, including electrical diagrams, PLC ladder diagrams, the National Electrical Code (NEC), technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write clear reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, co-workers, and vendors.
Math: Ability to calculate figures, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in operating a computer and necessary equipment to perform job duties.
