Maintenance Manager | Battle Creek, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, including scheduling and performance reviews.
  • Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Control maintenance budget, including spare parts inventory and external service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies for maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with production to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in maintenance leadership within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven expertise in CMMS software and its application for optimizing maintenance operations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital expenditure planning
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and their application to maintenance processes
  • Certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or similar are highly desirable
