Job Title: Maintenance Machinist

Compensation: $37.51 - $41.93 per hour

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision products, maintaining industrial machines and applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layout, and machining procedures.
• Perform dismantling, fitting, and assembly work required for production, plant maintenance, or construction.
• Interpret drawings and sketches, plan work procedures, and perform layout work as necessary.
• Select and grind tools and cutters, procure or make jigs, fixtures, or machine attachments.
• Adjust machine stops, feeds, and speeds for efficient machining and machine parts to precision tolerances and specified finishes.
• Use precision measuring instruments, dismantle machinery, and assemble and align equipment to very close tolerances.
• Operate all types of equipment on production, coordinate crane operations for movement of products or materials, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Minimum of 3+years of experience in machining or related field
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret drawings and sketches
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments
• Proficiency with machine setup, operation, and maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or degrees preferred
