High School Diploma
Capable of lifting an average of 50 lbs
Previous job experience involving electrical and mechanical duties
Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude
Skills within plumbing, hydraulics, HVAC and etc.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of basic computer skills; an understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
Capable of motivating and directing personnel as they work, to determine the best person for
various types of jobs

Regulate all mechanical and electrical repairs for plant equipment.
Determine schedules and assignments for work activities, determined by work priority, and skill
of personnel.
Provide leadership, technical guidance and training to employees in the facility to better
increase work productivity.
Monitor maintenance employees and assure they’re doing their job correctly and efficiently.
Develop, approve, and monitor employee schedules within the Maintenance Department.
Initiate clear communication within all levels of the organization.
Evaluate employees’ work levels.
Teach employees any necessary tasks they may need to be trained in.
Prioritize what needs to be done first and the order of tasks based on importance and urgency.
Oversee projects throughout the plant involving new installation of machinery.

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the entire maintenance department for all
the plants’ electrical and mechanical repairs. The maintenance lead is to act as a leader to other
employees and to be involved with the hands-on maintenance duties. This job is responsible for
monitoring and determining the most efficient distribution of work assignments. The position is entitled
to order any necessary parts and manage all relations with various venders in absence of the manager.
