Education: High school or equivalent. General Experience: One year of general experience. Specialized Experience: Four years specialized experience in refrigeration/air conditioning and electrical work. Must be qualified in the use of power and hand tools of the trade and possess a working knowledge of welding, soldering, and brazing. Must possess a valid automobile operator''s license as required by local/state laws or military regulations. One year in a supervisory capacity or PER documented potential to effectively supervise.Other: As determined by the supervisor. Any person involved with servicing stationary refrigerant systems must be certified by an EPA approved testing program and maintain certification as a Type I & II Technician as required by EPA''S Final Rule 608 (40 CFR, Part 82, Subpart I). Additionally, those individuals who work with low pressure systems (chillers) will also maintain the Type III certification. Certification as a "Universal Technician" (Certified as Type I, II and III) is preferred but not mandatory unless work involves low pressure systems. Application at overseas locations will be in accordance with requirements of host country/installation engineers.
