Oxford Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Foreman for a direct hire opportunity within a machine shop manufacturing environment. This role will oversee maintenance operations, supervise maintenance personnel, and ensure the reliability of plant machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily maintenance activities and personnel, promoting a strong safety culture
  • Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff
  • Establish schedules, priorities, and work assignments based on equipment needs and personnel skillsets
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on machinery, including use of diagnostic tools such as voltmeters
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
  • Provide input on capital expenditures, recommending upgrades based on equipment history and performance
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs on PLC, CNC, and NC machinery
  • Ensure quality and efficiency of repairs to minimize downtime
  • Utilize CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools for maintenance planning and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a machine shop manufacturing environment required
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union shop
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, CNC, and NC machinery
  • Experience reading and writing machine code (M code, G code)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CMMS software, and Oracle
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent leadership, management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
