Maintenance & Facilities Manager

 

Join Our Team

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Managerto lead the daily operations of our maintenance department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing preventive maintenance programs, managing maintenance staff, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all building systems, and maintaining a high standard of service throughout our facility. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate the maintenance team.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for all building systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate emergency repairs.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance, repair, and safety needs.
  • Oversee repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, structural, and general building systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise outside contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and applicable building codes.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, maintenance schedules, and operating expenses.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance documentation.
  • Assist with capital improvement projects, renovations, and facility upgrades.
  • Support operational efficiency while promoting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

 

Qualifications

Required


  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial, hospitality, institutional, or multifamily maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of2 yearsof supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • HVAC systems
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical equipment
  • Carpentry and general building maintenance
  • Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license (if required for the position).

 

Preferred


  • Associate degree or technical/trade school education.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and maintenance budgets.

 

Preferred Certifications

Candidates with one or more of the following certifications are strongly encouraged to apply:


  • EPA Section 608 HVAC Certification
  • NATE (North American Technician Excellence) Certification
  • Journeyman or Master Plumber License
  • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent electrical certification
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO®)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
