    Maintenance Engineer IIThe role focuses on rooms preventive maintenance within the Arizona Biltmore resort located in Phoenix, Arizona.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance tasks in guest suites, public spaces, outlets, and back‑of‑house areas as required.Respond to guest calls and complete written assignment sheets provided by Supervisors.Visually inspect and identify items needing repair.Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades.Appropriately respond to any fire or other emergency procedure.Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.Schedule workload effectively.Maintain detailed record‑keeping for logs and inspection sheets.Perform routine repair and maintenance of guest rooms and equipment as requested by guests.Assess, troubleshoot, and determine appropriate action for HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.For plumbing, perform soldering, basic pipe work, and determine fittings for re‑piping lines.For electrical, troubleshoot low‑voltage control circuits and maintain knowledge of contactors, transformers, and relays.For HVAC, replace AC components such as air filters, actuators, and check thermostats.Perform basic carpentry work and general troubleshooting testing procedures.Use schematics, electrical, and manual hand tools.Quick Caller / Rooms Preventative Maintenance RolePerform routine repair and maintenance of buildings and rooms as assigned.Maintain basic understanding of plumbing and residential electricity.Maintain knowledge of hand tools used for assigned duties.Perform routine maintenance of fire pits / fireplace and paint/wallcovering.Painter RolePerform routine repair and maintenance of buildings as assigned.Maintain knowledge of painting hand tools, spray equipment, and application techniques for different paints and textures.Pool Technician RolePerform daily chemical tests on all pools and spas and make appropriate adjustments.Maintain all mechanical equipment related to pools, spas, and fountains.Perform daily safety checks of all aquatic equipment and areas.Order daily, weekly, and monthly needs for chemicals, parts, and services for aquatics.Maintain all reports for County Health Department and assist Inspector during inspections.Oversee work done by outside vendors on all bodies of water and related equipment.HVAC RolePerform routine maintenance on split system, fan coil units, RTU, AHU, and mini‑splits.Maintain basic understanding of split system and fan coil units.Kitchen Mechanic RolePerform routine repairs and maintenance of kitchen equipment as assigned.Perform routine repairs in kitchen areas essential to operation.Perform daily safety checks.Maintain exhaust hood and make‑up air units.Supportive FunctionsMaintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.Report major repairs and items that cannot be repaired to Supervisors for further action and, if necessary, place a suite out of order.Other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor, such as waterproofing, shop clean‑up, and labeling of hazardous materials.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent, required.Training or apprenticeship in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred.ExperienceBasic experience in maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry, required.Prior customer service experience, required.At least one year of experience in a hotel or resort, preferred.Licenses or CertificatesCertification in mechanics, carpentry, HVAC, refrigeration, and/or electrical, preferred.Valid Arizona Driver's License, preferred.CPR / First Aid Certified, preferred.CPO Certification, preferred.CompensationPyramid Global Hospitality is an equal‑opportunity employer.
