A well‑established automotive manufacturing organization is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support tooling and equipment reliability within a high‑volume metal stamping operation. This facility produces critical structural components using large-scale presses and advanced manufacturing equipment.This role plays a key part in maintaining production uptime, supporting die performance, and ensuring tooling meets quality and operational standards. The environment is fast‑paced, team‑oriented, and focused on continuous improvement.The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:Disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling dies to design specificationsPerforming grinding, polishing, and hand finishing of tooling componentsInterpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and production specificationsOperating machining equipment including mills, lathes, and surface grindersUsing cranes and hoists to safely handle large dies and componentsMeasuring tooling and components using precision instruments (metric)Installing and troubleshooting limit switches and related componentsDocumenting maintenance activities and reporting issues as neededMaintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupporting production by ensuring tooling is operating efficiently and within specificationThe Maintenance Engineer will have the following qualifications:2‑year technical degree, journeyman certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience (4+ years preferred)Experience with die maintenance, tooling, or similar metalworking processesAbility to read prints and follow technical instructionsExperience working in a manufacturing or industrial environmentCNC machining experience is a plusStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityWillingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as requiredLarge-scale stamping environment with presses up to 3000 tonsExposure to industrial noise, machinery, and production environmentsCandidates with backgrounds in molds, extrusion, or CNC tooling are encouraged to apply#J-18808-Ljbffr
