Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, functional, and welcoming environment for a church campus.  This position performs preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements.  



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance
·       Perform routine inspections of all church buildings, classrooms, offices, kitchens, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
·       Complete preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
·       Repair doors, locks, windows, ceilings, flooring, drywall, and other building components.
·       Paint and touch up interior and exterior surfaces as needed.



Electrical (Preferred Experience)
·       Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform minor electrical repairs.
·       Replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, switches, outlets, and ballasts.
·       Coordinate with licensed electricians for projects requiring permits or advanced electrical work.



HVAC & Plumbing
·       Replace filters and monitor heating and cooling performance.
·       Troubleshoot basic plumbing issues including toilets, faucets, sinks, and water lines.
·       Coordinate repairs with outside contractors when necessary.



Safety & Security
·       Conduct routine safety inspections.
·       Report hazards immediately and make necessary repairs.
·       Monitor fire extinguishers, emergency exits, alarms, and safety equipment.
·       Assist with emergency response procedures when needed.
·       Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations.



Vendor & Inventory Management
·       Maintain maintenance supply inventory.
·       Order repair materials and equipment as approved.
·       Work with contractors and vendors to complete specialized repairs.
·       Maintain maintenance logs and work order records.



Qualifications
·       High school diploma or GED required.
·       Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and power tools.
·       Trade school or technical certification preferred.
·       Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
·       Ability to pass a background check.



Physical Requirements
·       Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
·       Stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
·       Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
·       Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when required.



Work Schedule
·       Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
·       Employee is required to participate in emergency on-call urgent facility issues outside of normal business hours when needed.



Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range
Annual Salary: $40,000–$45,000, based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and demonstrated skills
