Your Role as Maintenance Director:

  • Maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as resident care equipment, in safe working condition
  • Implement and oversee preventative maintenance and quality assurance programs
  • Ensure facility compliance with Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and other governing requirements
  • Serve as Facility Safety Officer and lead the Safety Committee
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit required reports and documentation
  • Manage inventory and ensure cost-effective procurement of supplies and parts
  • Respond to on-call emergencies and coordinate timely resolution of maintenance issues
  • Communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, vendors, and contractors
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and facility policies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff
  • Attend required trainings, in-services, and meetings

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in building maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Life Safety Code, NFPA standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience managing staff and coordinating contractors
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically able to lift, push, and move equipment over 50 lbs and remain active throughout the day
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
